About the Consulate

The Tanzania Consulate in Denmark serves as the official representation of the United Republic of Tanzania, responsible for fostering diplomatic relations and promoting friendship and cooperation between Tanzania and Denmark.  The Consulate is under the auspices of the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania situated in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Consulate’s primary focus is to advance Tanzania’s economic interests and other areas of cooperation. It actively engages with potential investors, businesses, governmental and non-governmental entities in the region, encouraging them to conduct business with Tanzania, explore tourism opportunities, and participate in cultural and educational exchanges to strengthen ties.

Consular Services:

• The Consulate provides consular services to Tanzanian Nationals requiring assistance in Denmark. 
• Passports, emergency travel documents and Citizen matters are handled by the Embassy in Stockholm, though initial support and advice may be available through the Consulate in Denmark. 
• Visa applications are managed online, with support services provided by the Embassy in Stockholm. 
• Attestation of documentation can be done under some circumstances.

Commercial Activities:

1. Promoting economic diplomacy to enhance trade and investment prospects.
2. Encouraging investments in Tanzania by reaching out to potential investors.
3. Promoting tourism and attracting visitors to explore Tanzania’s attractions.

Other Initiatives:

1. Facilitating cooperation between NGOs in Tanzania and those in Denmark.
2. Cultivating cultural exchange programs to foster understanding between Tanzanian and Danish cultures.

The Consulate is located at Strandvejen 125, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark.  Meetings and calls are taken by appointment only.
