The Tanzania Consulate in Denmark represents the United Republic of Tanzania, working to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and cultural bonds with Denmark. Operating under the guidance of the Tanzanian Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, the Consulate is committed to advancing Tanzania’s economic interests and facilitating partnerships. The Consulate supports Tanzanian nationals in Denmark by providing initial assistance for passport services, emergency documents, and general citizen matters. While official passport and visa services are managed by the Embassy in Stockholm, the Consulate in Denmark offers advisory support as needed.

MANDATORY NIC Travel Insurance for travel to mainland Tanzania

Effective 1st October 2026, it is MANDATORY for ALL travellers travelling to Tanzania on holiday or for business (non-residents and non-Tanzanians) through National Insurance Corporation (NIC).  This insurance cover provides travel insurance cover for both mainland AND Zanzibar, provided that you enter Tanzania via mainland before travelling to Zanzibar.  If you are travelling to Zanzibar first, then you will need to by the Zanzibar travel insurance and the NIC insurance.  Links for both are:
